Human FEM1A ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format to measure FEM1A (Fem-1 homolog A) in human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. FEM1A is a protein involved in cell proliferation and cell cycle regulation, and it has been implicated in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, so accurate quantification can support research into underlying mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

Detection is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and components should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity ranges (at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, n=5) are 87-99%, 82-101%, and 81-91% for serum; 84-92%, 84-98%, and 88-104% for EDTA plasma; and 85-105%, 85-105%, and 87-96% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages of 96% (serum), 98% (EDTA plasma), and 99% (heparin plasma) have been observed.

The protocol includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
