The Assay Genie PharmaGenie ELISA platform supports quantitative measurement of human FCGR3A/CD16a protein in cell culture supernatant and human blood-derived specimens. FCGR3A encodes the low-affinity IgG Fc receptor CD16a, an activating receptor on natural killer (NK) cells that drives antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Investigators apply this immunoassay to characterize Fc receptor expression, profile monoclonal antibody effector function, and support pharmacodynamic studies of IgG-based therapeutics such as rituximab and trastuzumab, where the well-documented V158F polymorphism affects IgG binding affinity and patient response.
