Description

Assay Genie's double-antibody sandwich ELISA is intended for the detection of human FCGR3A and CD16A in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is positioned for cell biology research.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a sensitivity of 4.688 ng/mL and a quantitative range of 7.813–500 ng/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 88–99%, 85–100% and 84–92% for serum; 85–101%, 82–97% and 80–95% for EDTA plasma; and 85–105%, 82–98% and 80–93% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery values are 85–104% (average 96%) for serum, 90–100% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 95–105% (average 99%) for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

FCGR3A (CD16A) is a low-affinity Fc gamma receptor involved in immune responses, particularly antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis, making the assay relevant to research into immune regulation, autoimmune and infectious disease mechanisms, and cancer immunotherapy. The standard procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin with TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
