Human FcER1/Fc epsilon RI ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of FcER1 / Fc epsilon RI, the high-affinity receptor that binds the Fc region of immunoglobulin epsilon and is responsible for initiating the allergic response. The receptor is also reported to induce the secretion of important lymphokines, and FcER1 / Fc epsilon RI is associated with chronic spontaneous urticaria.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with reactivity limited to human samples. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant and tissue samples and reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/ml with a measuring range of 31.25-2000 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing gave serum recovery of 85-98% (average 93%), EDTA plasma recovery of 86-104% (average 99%) and UFH plasma recovery of 89-105% (average 96%). Reported precision values are intra-assay CV less than 8% and inter-assay CV less than 10%. Recognised aliases for the target protein are FCER1A, FCE1A, FcER1, Fc-Epsilon RI-alpha and IgE Fc receptor subunit alpha, referenced under UniProt P12319.
