FBXO9 (F-box only protein 9) is the substrate-recognition subunit of an SCF (Skp1–Cullin–F-box) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, directing ubiquitination and proteasomal turnover of target proteins. The protein has been investigated in cell cycle regulation, immune signalling, and oncology research, where altered FBXO9 expression has been linked to tumour cell proliferation and survival.
