Human FBN2/Fibrillin 2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA built on a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of human Fibrillin-2 (FBN2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL with a working range of 0.625–40 ng/mL, and readouts are taken colorimetrically at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.

Linearity was demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 in serum (90–105%, 84–99%, 86–99%), EDTA plasma (86–101%, 83–99%, 85–100%) and heparin plasma (86–96%, 85–101%, 80–96%). Spike-and-recovery averaged 96% in serum (89–102% range), 92% in EDTA plasma (85–99%) and 99% in heparin plasma (92–103%). The recommended workflow is a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated-detection-antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin (SABC) step, and TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes. Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Fibrillin-2 contributes to the structural integrity of connective tissues, including blood vessels, cartilage and skin, and FBN2 abnormalities have been linked to Marfan syndrome and stiff skin syndrome, supporting its use as a biomarker in cell biology research.
