Human FBN/Fibrillin-1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Fibrillin-1 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. Fibrillin-1 is a structural component of 10-12 nm extracellular microfibrils, and altered levels are linked to connective tissue disorders arising from FBN1 mutations, including Marfan syndrome and related conditions.

Sensitivity is reported at 0.188 ng/ml with a detection range of 0.313-20 ng/ml. Spiked-recovery values averaged 97% in serum (range 94-105%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 87-103%), and 96% in UFH plasma (range 86-104%). Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions of spiked samples. Intra-assay CV is below 8% and inter-assay CV is below 10%.

For research use only, the kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody and its dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25× wash buffer, and plate sealer.
