Human FBLN4/Fibulin 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human fibulin-4 (FBLN4). The assay uses a double-antibody format with a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Spiking linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was 86–103%, 96–104%, and 88–101% in serum (n=5); 83–99%, 82–89%, and 82–101% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 80–100%, 90–100%, and 83–93% in heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery averaged 97% in serum (range 94–101%, n=5), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 85–104%, n=5), and 93% in heparin plasma (range 85–105%, n=5).

Fibulin-4 is an extracellular matrix protein involved in elastic fiber assembly and connective tissue development. Its dysregulation has been associated with aortic aneurysms, skin disorders, and other connective tissue diseases, making it a relevant biomarker for research into these conditions.
