Human Fatty acid-binding protein, brain (FABP7) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human Fatty acid-binding protein, brain (FABP7), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only. It recognises natural and recombinant human FABP7 and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.413ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 8.0% and inter-assay CV is 9.3%. Linearity has been characterised in serum (87-119%), EDTA plasma (95-120%) and heparin plasma (87-117%) across serial dilutions. Recovery is reported as an average of 89% (range 83-95%) for serum and 91% (range 85-97%) for plasma.

Fatty acid-binding protein 7 is a cytoplasmic lipid-binding protein implicated in fatty acid uptake, transport and metabolism, with roles in nervous system development and in the establishment of the radial glial fiber system required for neuronal migration during cortical development. Dysregulation of FABP7 has been linked to neurological disorders including Alzheimer's disease and glioblastoma.
