Human Fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte (FABP4) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte (FABP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples.

The kit has a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 10pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 6.5% and inter-assay CV at 10.2%. Linearity has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery averages 100% in serum (range 94-106%) and 102% in plasma (range 96-108%).

FABP4, also known as Adipocyte lipid-binding protein, Adipocyte-type fatty acid-binding protein, Fatty acid-binding protein 4, ALBP and A-FABP, is a lipid transport protein predominantly expressed in adipocytes. It binds long chain fatty acids and retinoic acid and delivers them to nuclear receptors, and is studied in the context of cardiovascular and metabolic research. The kit is for research use only.
