Human Fascin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, configured in a double-antibody format, intended for the quantitative detection of human Fascin (FSCN1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL and the standard curve range is 0.781-50 ng/mL. In spiked recovery testing, serum (n=5) yielded 90-104% (average 95%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 85-104% (average 96%), and heparin plasma (n=5) 86-98% (average 92%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 87-102%, 85-102% and 86-105% for serum, 88-98%, 82-94% and 85-97% for EDTA plasma, and 90-100%, 87-90% and 81-97% for heparin plasma. Storage is specified at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Fascin is an actin-bundling protein linked to cell migration and adhesion, and to the formation of filopodia and microspikes, and is investigated in the context of cancer metastasis and progression. The assay is positioned for research use within cell biology.
