Human Fascin-2 (FSCN2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Fascin-2 (FSCN2), also known as retinal fascin, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay detects both natural and recombinant human Fascin-2 using a colorimetric readout, with a reported sensitivity of 0.98ng/mL and a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL.

Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16. Average recovery is 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma. Fascin-2 is an actin-bundling protein implicated in photoreceptor disk morphogenesis, and mutations in the FSCN2 gene have been associated with autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration.
