Human FAS-associated factor 2 (FAF2) ELISA Kit

An Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human FAS-associated factor 2 (FAF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human FAF2. FAF2 is a critical protein involved in regulating cell death and in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD), and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 6.2% and inter-assay CV is 11.5%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, and recovery has been established at an average of 107% (range 101-113%) for serum and 109% (range 103-115%) for plasma. FAF2 protein localises to the cytoplasm, lipid droplets, and the endoplasmic reticulum, and is also known by synonyms including Protein ETEA, UBXD8, and UBXN3B (UniProt Q96CS3).
