Human FABP7/B-FABP ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human FABP7/B-FABP ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA, double antibody-based kit designed for the quantitative measurement of FABP7, also known as B-FABP, BLBP, Brain lipid-binding protein, and Brain-type fatty acid-binding protein, in human samples. It is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate incubation. Kits are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and the kit is intended for research applications in the signal transduction area.

The assay follows a six-step procedure: reagent and plate preparation; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes; TMB substrate incubation in the dark for 10-20 minutes; and stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance covers serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate. Reported recovery ranges are 88-101% (serum, n=5), 85-103% (EDTA plasma, n=5), and 88-105% (heparin plasma, n=5), with average recoveries of 93%, 92%, and 97% respectively. Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 85-102%, 87-99%, and 84-94% for serum; 85-103%, 89-101%, and 83-96% for EDTA plasma; and 95-105%, 84-101%, and 81-90% for heparin plasma.
