The Assay Genie Human FAAH ELISA Kit provides researchers with a quantitative immunoassay for measuring Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase (FAAH), the principal enzyme responsible for intracellular hydrolysis of the endocannabinoid anandamide and related fatty acid amide signaling lipids. The kit supports research into the endocannabinoid system, where FAAH activity and expression are studied in the context of pain modulation, neuroinflammation, neuropsychiatric conditions, and metabolic regulation.

FAAH is a membrane-bound serine hydrolase that terminates anandamide signaling at cannabinoid receptors, and altered FAAH expression has been documented in tissues from inflammatory, neurological, and metabolic studies. By quantifying human FAAH protein levels, the kit aids investigations into endocannabinoid tone, biomarker discovery, and pharmacology research, including studies of FAAH inhibitors evaluated for analgesic and anxiolytic applications.

Supplied as a complete reagent set in a research-use-only format intended for in vitro laboratory work, each kit includes the pre-coated plate, detection reagents, and buffers needed to perform the immunoassay workflow. A standard microplate reader is required to generate results, and the included reagents support processing of multiple samples per run. The kit is intended for laboratory research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
