Description

Designed and supplied by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Human Coagulation Factor VII (F7) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated microplate using a colorimetric detection method: standards or samples bind to an immobilised capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin–Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After substrate addition, a colour change develops in wells containing the target, and the optical density is read at 450 nm ± 2 nm for concentration determination against a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a detection range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Reported recovery is 80%–120% and the total assay time is 3 h 30 min. The recommended sample volume is 100 μL. The kit specifically recognises Human F7, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between Human F7 and analogues. Storage is at 2–8 °C, and the associated research areas are cancer and cardiovascular.

Coagulation Factor VII is described in the product literature as a key protein in the blood coagulation cascade, with a crucial role in the initiation of the coagulation process. Its dysregulation is linked to bleeding disorders and thrombotic events, making it a relevant biomarker for studying coagulation disorders, cardiovascular diseases and liver conditions. Synonyms recorded for the target include FVII, Proconvertin and SPCA, and the associated UniProt ID is P08709.
