Human F13b/Factor XIII ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of human Factor XIII, also referred to as F13, Coagulation Factor XIII, fibrin stabilizing factor, and Laki-Lorand factor. It is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Factor XIII is an essential coagulation factor involved in wound healing and blood clot formation, and dysregulation of Factor XIII has been linked to bleeding disorders and thrombotic events, emphasising its importance in maintaining hemostasis. The assay employs a pre-coated capture antibody on the plate, with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin reported via TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL across a standard range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure begins with a 90-minute incubation at 37°C for standards or samples, followed by 60 minutes with the biotin-labelled antibody and 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin at 37°C. TMB substrate is added for 10-20 minutes before stop solution and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reported recovery ranges are 89-97% for serum (average 92%), 91-102% for EDTA plasma (average 98%), and 86-105% for heparin plasma (average 92%). Linearity values for serum are 84-97% at 1:2, 82-93% at 1:4, and 85-94% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma 80-89%, 90-100%, and 88-101%; and for heparin plasma 87-100%, 82-95%, and 83-98%.
