Human f-PSA/Free Prostate Specific Antigen ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate measurement of free prostate-specific antigen (f-PSA) levels in human samples. Free PSA is a subtype of PSA that circulates unbound to other proteins in the blood and is used as a marker in prostate cancer research. The kit uses a double-antibody Sandwich ELISA format with a colorimetric readout; the stop reaction is followed by absorbance measurement at 450 nm.

The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. In linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, values were: serum (n=5) 85-105%, 86-103% and 85-102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 87-92%, 86-100% and 85-99%; heparin plasma (n=5) 86-100%, 86-100% and 86-98%. Recovery in the same sample types gave average values of 99% (range 98-102%), 97% (range 93-100%) and 96% (range 88-105%) respectively. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.

For use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples of human origin, the kit is supplied with the reagents needed for the Sandwich ELISA workflow, including a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate.
