Human Extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CASR) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of the human Extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CASR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for research use only and recognises natural and recombinant human CASR, a G-protein-coupled receptor that senses changes in the extracellular concentration of calcium ions and plays a key role in maintaining calcium homeostasis by modulating the production of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in parathyroid glands. Synonyms for the target include Parathyroid cell calcium-sensing receptor 1, PCaR1, CaR, GPRC2A, and PCAR1.

Using a colorimetric ELISA detection method, the kit provides a detection range of 0.312-20ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Reproducibility is reported with an intra-assay CV of 3.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, and recovery averages 102% for serum (range 96-108%) and 104% for plasma (range 98-110%). The kit is positioned within the cardiovascular research area.
