EXOC6 encodes a subunit of the evolutionarily conserved exocyst complex, the eight-protein tethering machinery (EXOC1–EXOC8) that directs secretory vesicles to docking sites on the plasma membrane during polarized exocytosis. The protein contributes to membrane trafficking, primary ciliogenesis, and regulated secretion pathways, and altered EXOC6 expression has been reported in studies of insulin granule release, neuronal cargo delivery, and epithelial polarity maintenance. The Assay Genie Human EXOC6 ELISA Kit supplies a microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, biotin-conjugated detection reagent, recombinant protein standards, wash buffer, and chromogenic substrate sufficient for 96 reactions per plate. Unopened components are shipped under refrigerated conditions and should be stored refrigerated upon receipt to preserve activity through the shelf life; reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen to limit freeze-thaw degradation. Before running the assay, allow all reagents to equilibrate to room temperature. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical applications.
