According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit delivers a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.14 ng/mL. Reported linearity for serum (N=5) covers 85-108% across dilution ratios of 1:2 to 1:16, while EDTA plasma (N=5) ranges from 93-117% and heparin plasma (N=5) from 95-120%. SULT1E1 (UniProt P49888) is a cytoplasmic homodimer of approximately 35 kDa that utilises 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to catalyse the sulfate conjugation of estradiol and estrone, a function linked to estrogen signalling and to research into hormone-dependent disease.
