Endothelial cell-selective adhesion molecule (ESAM) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily that mediates homophilic adhesion at endothelial junctions and supports leukocyte transmigration across the vasculature. The Human ESAM ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a quantitative immunometric assay for measuring soluble ESAM in research specimens, supporting investigations into vascular inflammation, sepsis-associated endothelial dysfunction, atherosclerosis, diabetic microangiopathy, and tumor angiogenesis where altered ESAM expression has been reported.

The 96 Assays kit ships with pre-coated microplate wells, matched capture and detection antibodies, lyophilized recombinant human ESAM standards, and concentrated assay buffers packaged in individual vials. An enzymatic color reaction produces a measurable absorbance change on a standard microplate reader, and standard curves are generated from the included calibrators. The protocol is intended for human-derived samples; matrix-specific validation is recommended for each new specimen type, and lipemic or hemolyzed inputs may require additional dilution.

Unopened kit components should be stored refrigerated until first use, and working dilutions are typically prepared on the day of the assay run. For research use only; the product is not approved for diagnostic procedures. Cross-reactivity with non-human species has not been verified for this product and should be confirmed independently before extending studies to animal models.
