ErbB3 (also known as HER3) is a roughly 180 kDa transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase of the EGFR/ErbB family that heterodimerizes with HER2, EGFR, and HER4 to drive PI3K-Akt signaling in epithelial and tumor cell contexts. This Assay Genie PharmaGenie ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring human ErbB3 protein levels, supporting oncology research into HER2-amplified cancers, heregulin ligand biology, and characterization of acquired resistance to anti-EGFR or anti-HER2 small-molecule therapies.

The assay is built around matched capture and detection antibody pairs directed at the ErbB3 extracellular domain and is calibrated against a recombinant human ErbB3 standard, making it appropriate for cell culture supernatant, plasma, and serum-derived specimens. Each kit is supplied as a complete package containing a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized protein standards, biotinylated detector reagent, streptavidin-HRP, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution, sufficient for 96 individual determinations in a plate-based format.
