Human EPX/Eosinophil peroxidase ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed to quantify human Eosinophil peroxidase (EPX) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody assay reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Validation data include linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum (85–101%, 84–101%, 83–96%), EDTA plasma (85–105%, 82–98%, 89–103%) and heparin plasma (83–88%, 86–99%, 87–102%). Spike-and-recovery ranges are 92–99% (serum, average 95%), 86–104% (EDTA plasma, average 94%) and 92–103% (heparin plasma, average 94%).

The six-step procedure uses a pre-coated plate with sequential 37°C incubations (90 minutes for antigen binding, 60 minutes with biotinylated detection antibody, 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin), TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution. EPX is an eosinophil-derived enzyme involved in immune and inflammatory responses, and its dysregulation has been linked to asthma, allergic reactions and certain autoimmune disorders.
