Human Epoxide hydrolase 4 (EPHX4) ELISA Kit

EPHX4, also known by the synonyms ABHD7, EH4, EPHXRP or Abhydrolase domain-containing protein 7, is a single-pass type II integral membrane protein of 42,324 Da. It belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily and the epoxide hydrolase family, with the human gene mapped to chromosomal position 1p22.1 (UniProt Q8IUS5; NCBI Gene ID 253152). The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human EPHX4. Dysregulation of EPHX4 has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and neurodegenerative conditions, making it a useful biomarker for research into these pathologies.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (95-114%), EDTA plasma (90-114%) and heparin plasma (83-115%). Recovery averages 99% (range 93-105%) in serum and 101% (range 95-107%) in plasma. Absorbance is read at 450 nm.
