Human EPO/Erythropoietin ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's erythropoietin (EPO) ELISA kit is a highly sensitive, sandwich-format immunoassay designed for the quantitative measurement of human EPO in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay employs a double-antibody sandwich configuration with colorimetric detection, using HRP-conjugated streptavidin and TMB substrate; the resulting signal is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader. Reported performance specifications include a measuring range of 3.12–200 mIU/mL (2 ng = 200 mIU) and a sensitivity of 1.875 mIU/mL.

Samples and standards are added to antibody-pre-coated microplate wells, where the target analyte is captured. After a wash step, a biotinylated detection antibody binds the captured target, followed by the addition of HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate. An acidic stop solution converts the blue reaction product to yellow, and absorbance at 450 nm is used to determine analyte concentration by reference to a standard curve. A validated Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification, supporting accurate normalization when working with lysate samples. The kit is intended for research use only.
