Designed by Assay Genie for the precise measurement of Human Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), this Sandwich ELISA Kit quantifies EGFR in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. EGFR, also known as Proto-oncogene c-ErbB-1, Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-1, ERBB, ERBB1, and HER1, is a pivotal receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth, proliferation, and survival, with mutations linked to uncontrolled cell growth and tumor formation in cancer.

The assay delivers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 31pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.1% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, yielding observed ranges of 95-116%, 91-119%, and 88-112% respectively across sample types and dilutions. Average recovery was 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma. Specificity is confirmed for natural and recombinant human EGFR (UniProt P00533).
