Human Ephrin type-B receptor 4 (EPHB4) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Ephrin type-B receptor 4 (EPHB4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human EPHB4 and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 8.04pg/mL, an intra-CV of 6.5% and an inter-CV of 7.8%. Spike-and-recovery values are 88–100% (serum, average 94%) and 90–102% (plasma, average 96%). Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA-plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16.

EPHB4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds transmembrane ephrin-B family ligands on neighbouring cells, driving bidirectional forward and reverse signalling. Together with its cognate ligand EFNB2 it contributes to heart morphogenesis and angiogenesis through the regulation of cell adhesion and migration, and plays a role in postnatal blood-vessel remodelling, morphogenesis and permeability, including in the context of tumour angiogenesis. Aberrant expression of EPHB4 has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and developmental abnormalities.
