Human Ephrin-A2 (EFNA2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's colorimetric sandwich ELISA is designed for the precise and reliable measurement of human Ephrin-A2 (EFNA2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay recognises both natural and recombinant human Ephrin-A2 and is intended for research use only.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.2pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 8.2%. Recovery in serum averages 97% (range 91-103%) and in plasma averages 99% (range 93-105%).

Ephrin-A2 is a cell surface GPI-anchored ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases that are crucial for migration, repulsion, and adhesion during neuronal, vascular, and epithelial development. It binds Eph receptors on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. With the EPHA2 receptor, Ephrin-A2 may play a role in bone remodeling through regulation of osteoclastogenesis and osteoblastogenesis.
