Human Eotaxin (CCL11) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Eotaxin (CCL11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Eotaxin is a secreted CC-family chemokine that promotes eosinophil recruitment to inflammatory sites and binds CCR3, with relevance to research into asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis and related allergic conditions.

According to the product specification, the assay has a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 3.9 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human Eotaxin (UniProt P51671; also referred to as C-C motif chemokine 11, Eosinophil chemotactic protein, SCYA11 or Small-inducible cytokine A11).

Reported linearity in serum spans 102–112% at a 1:2 dilution to 100–109% at 1:16, with comparable recoveries in EDTA and heparin plasma matrices. Recovery averages 86% (range 80–92%) in serum and 88% (range 82–94%) in plasma. The product is supplied for research use only.
