Human Enolase, Neuron Specific (NSE) ELISA Kit

The Human Enolase, Neuron Specific (NSE) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is used to quantify gamma-enolase (ENO2), a glycolytic enzyme expressed in neuronal cytoplasm and neuroendocrine tissues. Circulating NSE is widely used as a clinical biomarker for small cell lung carcinoma, supporting disease monitoring and treatment response assessment. Elevated concentrations are also observed in blood and cerebrospinal fluid following neuronal injury, including traumatic brain damage, ischemic stroke, and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in neonates.

The capture antibody recognises the ~78 kDa homodimer characteristic of neuron-specific enolase, supporting specific quantification across human samples, tissue preparations, and cell-derived fluids. Each microplate is supplied ready for bench-top use; reagents should be stored refrigerated between runs and remain stable through multiple freeze-thaw cycles when aliquoted. The kit is intended for research use only and is validated for in vitro measurement of the NSE target.
