NEDD9 is a docking protein that coordinates tyrosine-kinase-based signaling related to cell adhesion and migration, with dysregulation linked to cancer and metastasis. Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Recovery in serum averages 86% (range 80–92%) and in plasma averages 88% (range 82–94%). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Enhancer of filamentation 1 and is suited to research in cancer biology, cell migration, and disease pathology.
