Human Endothelin-converting enzyme 1 (ECE1) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Endothelin-converting enzyme 1 (ECE1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and detects natural and recombinant human Endothelin-converting enzyme 1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 20pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Dilutional linearity was tested in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with recovery averaging 92% (range 86-98%) for serum and 94% (range 88-100%) for plasma.

ECE1 is a disulfide-linked homodimer, single-pass type II membrane protein (Uniprot P42892) that converts big endothelin-1 to endothelin-1, a potent vasoconstrictor with implications in cardiovascular disease. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer.
