Human Endothelin-2/ET-2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the detection of human Endothelin-2 (ET-2) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.469 pg/mL and a standard range of 0.781–50 pg/mL. Endothelin-2 is a peptide implicated in regulating blood vessel constriction and cell proliferation, with dysregulation linked to pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, and kidney disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker in related research.

The workflow uses a TMB substrate: samples are incubated on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by a biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation (60 minutes), HRP-Streptavidin binding (30 minutes), TMB development in the dark (10–20 minutes), and absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution. Reported linearity spans 85–101% for serum, 82–99% for EDTA plasma, and 81–100% for heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with average recoveries of 92–96%. Components are intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.
