Human Endothelial lipase (LIPG) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of endothelial lipase (LIPG) in human samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants, with specificity for natural and recombinant human endothelial lipase.

Endothelial lipase is a key enzyme in lipid metabolism and HDL cholesterol regulation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis and metabolic disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for cardiovascular research. The target protein (UniProt Q9Y5X9) is secreted as a head-to-tail homodimer, possesses phospholipase and triglyceride lipase activities, hydrolyses high-density lipoproteins more efficiently than other lipoproteins, and binds heparin.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 1.25–80 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.627 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Linearity ranges from 99–125% in serum (n=5) across 1:2–1:16 dilutions, 92–123% in EDTA plasma, and 80–113% in heparin plasma. Recovery is 100% (94–106%) in serum and 102% (96–108%) in plasma.
