Human Endocrine Gland Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (EG-VEGF) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie EG-VEGF (Endocrine Gland-Derived Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) ELISA Kit quantitatively measures human prokineticin 1 (PROK1) using a sandwich immunoassay on a 96-well microplate. EG-VEGF is a tissue-specific angiogenic factor first identified in 2001 that selectively promotes proliferation and permeability of endothelial cells derived from endocrine glands, with documented roles in steroidogenesis, testicular and placental vascular remodeling, gastrointestinal motility, and pathological angiogenesis linked to pre-eclampsia and certain neuroendocrine tumors.

The procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, and a stop solution supplied within the kit.

The capture antibody is human-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity observed with homologous prokineticin 2 (PROK2) or with mouse, rat, or bovine EG-VEGF under standard conditions. Unopened kits are stored refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C; reconstituted standards and prepared working dilutions should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 degrees C to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
