Human Elongation factor 2 (EEF2) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Elongation factor 2 (EEF2; also referred to as EF-2 or EF2), a GTP-binding translation elongation factor that catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation. The assay has a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.9 pg/mL.

Using a colorimetric detection method, the kit is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human EEF2, and intra-assay and inter-assay CV values are 5.6% and 6.9% respectively. EEF2 is an essential factor for protein synthesis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
