Human Elongation factor 1-alpha 1 (EEF1A1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Elongation factor 1-alpha 1 (EEF1A1). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and the kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human Elongation factor 1-alpha 1.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.069ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. EEF1A1 is an isoform of the alpha subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is responsible for the enzymatic delivery of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome and promotes the GTP-dependent binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the A-site of ribosomes during protein biosynthesis. The protein is detected in the cytoplasm, nucleus and nucleolus and is implicated in translational elongation, transcription regulation, and T helper 1 (Th1) cytokine production through interaction with PARP1 and TXK.
