Human Elafin (PI3) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Elafin in human biological samples, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is reactive with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Elafin.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 34pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 8.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.6%. Linearity in serum across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 ranges from 92-117%, with comparable performance in EDTA and heparin plasma samples. Recovery in serum averages 109% (range 103-115%) and in plasma averages 111% (range 105-117%).

Elafin is described as a neutrophil and pancreatic elastase-specific inhibitor of skin that may prevent elastase-mediated tissue proteolysis, with the protein associated with UniProt entry P19957. The kit is intended for research use only, supporting studies within the immunology research area.
