Quantitative measurement of Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 3 Subunit K (EIF3K) in human research samples is supported by this ELISA from Assay Genie. EIF3K is the smallest subunit of the eIF3 complex, a multi-subunit machinery that plays a central role in translation initiation by positioning the initiator Met-tRNA on the 40S ribosomal subunit and regulating mRNA recruitment to the ribosome. Investigating EIF3K abundance has become increasingly relevant in studies of protein synthesis dysregulation, viral replication biology, and certain cancer pathways where altered translational control contributes to disease phenotypes.

The kit is supplied as a complete reagent set, with all microplate wells, buffers, standards, and detection components provided in a plate format supporting 96 determinations per run. An absorbance-based readout enables analysis on standard plate readers commonly found in immunology and molecular biology laboratories. The procedure accommodates a range of human specimens prepared for in vitro analysis, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Applications include translational research, oncology investigations, and cell biology workflows in which EIF3K abundance is being characterized in cell lysates, tissue-derived extracts, or matched clinical samples. Reagents remain stable when stored refrigerated under recommended conditions. Researchers can integrate this kit into broader studies examining how initiation factor stoichiometry shifts across disease models, including comparisons between tumor and normal tissue, or during perturbations of signaling pathways that impinge on translation initiation efficiency.
