Human eIF3A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of EIF3A (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit A) in human samples. EIF3A is a key component of the eIF3 complex, essential for translation initiation and protein synthesis, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions, highlighting its relevance as a potential biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic development.

Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the kit offers a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Across serial dilutions, linearity spans 86–104% in serum, 84–101% in EDTA plasma, and 83–100% in heparin plasma. Average recovery is 94% in serum, 91% in EDTA plasma, and 90% in heparin plasma.

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The assay procedure includes reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
