Human EGFL7/Epidermal growth factor-like protein 7 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Epidermal Growth Factor-Like Protein 7 (EGFL7) in research samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout, and is intended for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

EGFL7 is a key protein involved in various biological processes, including angiogenesis and cell growth regulation, and its dysregulation has been linked to conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, underscoring its importance as a potential biomarker for disease research and therapeutic development. The kit offers a reported sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity values (at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions) are 85-96%, 93-104% and 87-103% for serum (n=5); 86-100%, 84-101% and 83-99% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 87-97%, 83-97% and 81-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Average recovery values are 94% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma and 92% for heparin plasma, with reported recovery ranges of 88-103%, 91-103% and 85-104% respectively. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The workflow involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
