Human EFHD2 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human EFHD2, a calcium-signalling protein of relevance to signal transduction research and implicated in cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative conditions. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and targets EFHD2 — also known as EF-hand domain-containing protein D2, SWS1 or Swiprosin-1 (UniProt Q96C19).

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant and cell or tissue lysate. Performance is quoted at a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a measurable range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reagents are stable for 12 months when stored at 2–8 °C.

The workflow proceeds through equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, a primary incubation at 37 °C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance readout at 450 nm after stop solution. Reported linearity in serum (n = 5) spans 85–102% at 1:2, 90–101% at 1:4 and 82–98% at 1:8; EDTA plasma 90–96%, 87–99% and 87–98%; heparin plasma 92–100%, 82–98% and 80–100%. Spike-and-recovery averages reach 93% in serum (range 91–98%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 86–102%) and 93% in heparin plasma (range 88–103%).
