EDIL3, alternatively annotated as DEL-1 (Developmental Endothelial Locus-1), is a secreted 52 kDa glycoprotein composed of three N-terminal EGF-like repeats and two C-terminal discoidin I-like domains. It functions as an integrin ligand that engages αvβ3 on endothelial cells and inhibits the LFA-1 integrin on leukocytes, contributing to angiogenic sprouting, efferocytosis, and the active resolution of inflammation in tissues. The Assay Genie quantitative immunoassay enables researchers to monitor this secreted matrix-associated factor in human specimens, supporting studies in vascular remodeling, tumor microenvironment characterization, and chronic inflammatory disease models.

The workflow is built around a pre-coated microplate and uses a biotinylated detection antibody paired with streptavidin-HRP for signal generation. Prepared standards, assay diluent, wash buffer, and substrate solution are supplied so that a standard curve can be generated within a typical run, with all reagents matched and quality-controlled for in vitro laboratory use. The kit is configured as a 96 Assays pack size, providing sufficient wells for standard curves run in duplicate together with multiple unknown samples.

Intended for research use only, the assay complements downstream applications such as western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry, allowing orthogonal verification of EDIL3 expression patterns in cell culture supernatant samples and primary tissue lysates.
