Description

The receptor EDA2R (also known as XEDAR or TNFRSF27) is a type I transmembrane member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily that binds ectodysplasin-A2. It is encoded on the X chromosome and has been studied in the context of X-linked hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, hair follicle cycling, and, more recently, age-related bone mineral density loss and skeletal muscle remodeling. Activation of the receptor triggers NF-kB and JNK signaling cascades that influence ectodermal appendage development and apoptotic responses in target cells.

This Assay Genie ELISA kit provides a quantitative immunoassay platform for measuring human EDA2R protein in human blood-derived research specimens. Configured for laboratory workflows in dermatology, endocrinology, and musculoskeletal biology, the kit is supplied in a 96 Assays format with assay buffer, detection reagents, standard calibrators, and a pre-coated microplate required to establish a standard curve and quantify receptor levels in human samples.

The immunoassay integrates into studies of ectodermal appendage development, hair biology, bone metabolism, and muscle atrophy research. Refrigerated storage is recommended for the supplied reagents before use, and the kit is for research use only.
