Description

Assay Genie's Human EDA (Ectodysplasin A) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for quantitative measurement of EDA in human research samples. Ectodysplasin A is a protein involved in the development of ectodermal tissues such as skin, hair, and teeth, and its dysregulation has been linked to ectodermal dysplasias, a group of genetic disorders characterised by abnormalities in these tissues.

The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich detection method with a reported sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a measuring range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months. The assay procedure involves a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.

Reported linearity ranges from 82-104% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery data shows average values of 97% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma and 98% for heparin plasma (n=5 each).
