Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase family member 1 (ENPP1) in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The kit supports research into metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and bone health, reflecting ENPP1's role in mineralization, pyrophosphate regulation, and conditions such as vascular calcification, insulin resistance, and inflammation.

The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Synonyms recognised by the antibody include ENPP1, NPP1, NPPS, PC1, PC-1, PCA1, PDNP1, M6S1, Ly-41 Antigen, E-NPP 1, ARHR2, alkaline phosphodiesterase 1, plasma-cell membrane glycoprotein 1, and membrane component chromosome 6 surface marker 1.

Validation data include linearity and recovery testing across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with reported linearity ranges of 88-104%, 86-100% and 90-104% (serum), 82-90%, 91-96% and 88-97% (EDTA plasma), and 81-99%, 85-95% and 82-98% (heparin plasma) at standard dilutions. Recovery averages 93% for serum (range 87-99), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 91-100), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 86-101). The protocol involves equilibrating reagents, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
