Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Extracellular Matrix Protein 1 (ECM1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The colorimetric assay uses a double-antibody format and is suited to cardiovascular research, where ECM1 is of interest as a biomarker linked to cell adhesion, migration, and tissue remodelling, with implications in cancer, fibrosis, and inflammatory disorders.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a standard range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Dilutional linearity in serum (n=5) is 85-102% at 1:2, 85-104% at 1:4, and 85-101% at 1:8, with EDTA plasma at 85-91%, 84-95%, and 82-95% across the same dilutions and heparin plasma at 81-96%, 82-99%, and 86-92%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 95% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

The workflow follows a six-step protocol: reagent and plate preparation, 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Sample handling guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate. The analyte is also known by the synonyms ECM1, p85, Secretory Component P85, and Secretory Component Glycoprotein.
