Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 43pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%. Dilutional linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Average recovery was 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma.

CD69 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric, single-pass type II transmembrane protein that functions as a signal-transmitting receptor in lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells and platelets and is involved in lymphocyte proliferation. Aberrant CD69 expression has been linked to a range of immune disorders, making the protein a useful biomarker for studies of immune responses, inflammation and immune-related conditions.
