Human EAR2/Eosinophil Associated Ribonuclease A family Member 2 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Eosinophil-associated ribonuclease A family member 2 (EAR2), a member of the ribonuclease A family that is associated with eosinophils and has been linked to immune responses and inflammation. The kit uses a double-antibody format and is reactive with human specimens. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported linearity for serum (n = 5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85-104%, 90-100% and 85-104% respectively; EDTA plasma (n = 5) shows 83-94%, 83-98% and 86-98%, and heparin plasma (n = 5) shows 82-93%, 86-99% and 88-99%. Spike-and-recovery values are 86-104% (average 94%) for serum, 85-100% (average 91%) for EDTA plasma and 86-101% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The assay workflow follows a standard sandwich protocol: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature and set up standards, samples and zero controls on the pre-coated plate; incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding; add biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes; add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes; develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes; then add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm.
